In recent weeks I have been concentrating on TWITTER and building up the size of my followers list. A couple of so called Viral frien gatherers have crossed my threshold and one has been actioned at least 5 times the other just once.
By now I shoud therefore have about 80,000 followers but alas no, the virus is obviously not as virulent as the Swine Flu and to be honest I find it hard to attribute any of my followers to having used them.
No doubt like many others I have reached the following limit of 2000 and trimmed away the non followers msany times to give some headroom having used ‘Twellow’ to try and source more people to follow, that worked but alas not too many actualy follow you back.
Non followers should be removed really as all thay do is clog your timeline with their messages that you can see but of course they will not be seeing any of your pearls of wosdom amd that is what is omportant after all!
It seems amazimg that anyone can get to a million followers but it has recently happened and I bet that person never actually uses Twitter and that their following list will be nowhere near the one million mark. They are celebrity names with a fanatic follower base not true Twitter users for sure.
Prime reason to use Twitter is to interact with other folk around the globe and to enter into friendly discourse and to become remote friends that have never met in most cases. I have a passion for Volkswagen csars too and have made many contavcts with similarly minded individuals all around the globe on Twitter and that has to be a good thing.
Beieve me you will find people interested in anything you can imagine from tropical fish to crotchet.
Yes, you can monetise Twitter and insert links into your posts but this is not the main reason for uding it and we should all remember this.
There are some users whio bank out updates at an alarming rate and you see about 6 in a row in your timeline. This frequency in my opinion is jsut too much and they need to tone it down. I have already deleted sa few of these Twitter spammers and thts a shame really.
I now have nearly 1,600 followers all of a good standard with no lightweight operators with about 10 followers on board. Now need to concentrate on @messaging them so their followers can see me and then who knows they may pick up the following pace too.

Loans of course take a few weeks to be processed so commission will take a while.

I feel there are so many angles from which I could make a review of Andrew Hansen’s new blogging software Firepow.
I thought I might focus here on one particular element of the program which I consider to be particularly intregal to the success of a blogger, namely, the ability to drive traffic to their blog.
If you’ve ever started a blog, or any form of website trying to earn some cash, you’ll know it’s not exactly a case of “if you build it they will come”.
Even a great blog doesn’t guarantee traffic and a major part of a bloggers focus has to be spreading the word about their blog in a variety of ways in order to continually increase traffic and profits.
Sure, I could have talked about the blog creation and management aspects of Firepow, which I know so many new online marketers and bloggers will find so valuable. But for me, I’m more concerned about how the program can help a user increase traffic and make more money.

Its a breeze to install and, upon setting mine up there was a slight glitch that was apparent. I contacted Peter and within minutes he had visited site, observed the slight problem and provided an update to cure it. Since then it has performed as expected.

Web Traffic Juggernaut is a new site that says it guarantees more web visitors and online advertising with very little effort or cost. So I decided to put it to the test…
My first impression was the site looks professional and clean, with an attractive look and feel.
It is easy to read and understand. Joining the site was easy and painless–they do offer 2 upgrade options but they are not required to gain the benefits.
The Members Area is very well laid out and intuitive–I could figure out what to do after only a few minutes and was able to get up & running in less than 5 minutes.
Inside the site, you create links and adverts– for the links you simply enter any URL links you use into the generator and it transforms them into “Juggernaut” links. You create adverts for anything you want to promote using the Juggernaut Ad Generator, which is very easy to use. You can create as many links and as many ads as you like;and they are organized in a logical way.
Links are displayed in the order you create them but also your 5 most recent links appear on the main page for quick reference. Also, since the link generator is the tool you’ll use most, it is also right at the top of the main page when you log in. Very smart! Ergonomics at work on your screen.
After you’ve created at least 1 link and 1 advert you can start to generate traffic.
Just use and promote the new Juggernaut link instead of the original source link you had. Every time the Juggernaut link is clicked, the page loads followed by a small ad window in the lower right corner. This advert window displays 3 adverts PLUS an image with your affiliate link that goes back to Juggernaut. Hi, got a nasty shock when I logged into Aweber and loaded the list of names being collected.
I was up to nearing 300 entries either double opt in confirmed on non confirmed and was intending to export the list and make an off line database of potential contacts.
Aweber automatically defaults to the confirmation method and I had no problem with that and was not worried about the non confirming as I still had the contact names and E.Mails. Well I DID have them but no longer do.
It appears that once a contact had been unconfirmed for more than 30 days their system automatically purges the names and addresses without warning.
I challenged them asking why my list had been partly deleted and was told that you will find out more in the FAQ and it was an automated system…………..aaargh. They went on to say that they had not deleted the list as I will have it held offline in any case.
Frustrating or what? I was under the impression that the list was being held securely on their servers and was not anticipating having it decimated by an automatic deletion algorithm. When sending to your list it is done from the Aweber installation so why would you think you needed to keep anything yourself.
After all they have a robust back up system don’t they?
So now have 60 names and not 300 and nothing can be done to restore them.
I wonder does the auto deletion apply if you select not to have confirmations rather that accept their quite vehement recommendation to have the confirmed opt ins.
Has made me feel quite depressed, will never get to 10,000 at this rate and my target of 1500 by end of February now looks doubtful too.
2009 iS already throwing every possible hurdle at me!
Traffic to my Blog and website has slowed considerably in the last couple of weeks. It may be because I have taken my eye off the ball with all the sorting out I am having to do in my home following the burst pipe problem or, with every Alex Student now concentrating on their video production is it because we have stopped visiting each others sites I wonder.
Of course, it is January and that is always a quiet month where activity is concerned with everyone still playing with their Christmas presents instead of idly surfing.
Will see what happens ion the next week or so and, if necessary ramp up efforts to drive a few more victims err sorry potential long term clients to my site.
Also, my content has not been kept so evergreen with posts dropping in number due to my lack of activity……………must get going but difficult as this weekend is going to be spent sorting out a big soggy pile of sheets, towels, curtains etc from the airing cupboard that are still just one soggy mass. So easy to be de-railed by external influences and this is not even a pleasurable one!
With all the chaos that comes with burst pipes in your loft it has been difficult to find the time needed to get the first video produced and online but finally it has been done. Just finished uploading the brute so it may not yet be available to view as I believe it takes a while.
To produce it the following method was used:
Created a Powerpoint Presentation incorporating some clip art and some of my own original photography
Converted the Powerpoint presentation to a normal .pdf document [this enabled a smaller window than full screen to be used when viewing the file]
Recorded the video using screen capture within Camtasia Studio V.5 [Internal microphone built into the laptop only was used for the sound.
Realised it was too long so recorded again!…………still too long!
Learned that one could adjust the % ratio of the recording so, selected 102% and a sub 10 minute length was achieved without my voice sounding like Alvin from the Chipmumks.
Not terribly whizzy but fairly pleased with the first ever effort, they will surely get better
